There's nothing more peaceful then the sound of the ocean. The water breaking along the shoreline and the outside waves crashing down in the distance...nothing calms the heart and soul like the sounds of the beach. The warm mist..the suns rays...the sand in your feet...the palm trees swaying...that is paradise.
There are so many things in life that create challenges...obstacles...issues...stress. How we view each challenge usually depends on how we were taught to view a challenge. Sometimes we need to see things in a different light...from a different angle...a new perspective.
You can look at a low tide and be upset that you are not able to launch your boat...or you can look at it as a chance to see the obstacles that are hidden by the water. Things that may or could cause issues in the future...this is your opportunity to plan for these challenges. Its easier to see the issue when you are low...you are already down and the path out is usually long. The low tide is a blessing if you see it as such...what would you have missed if everything was always covered up?
A surfer prays for waves...a diver prays for calm...one who can do both, prays for either and is grateful as his prayers are always answered.
The changing of the tides is as natural as it gets. Our lives are no different than that. Sometimes our lives rush by like a fast charging wave...sometimes it is calm and quiet...but it is never the same. It is always different and changing. It is always a challenge...a chance to learn...an opportunity to grow and evolve.
Our perspective will always dictate our view on the tides of our life. I hope to one day be the diver who can surf...for that person is living life...not just existing.
